Sin City, it is said that what happens there stays there. But that was not the case this year. The LA Misioneros FC participated in the 35th Annual Silver Mug International Tournament in Las Vegas, NV.

The tournament brought together over 35 teams from across the country and internationally to the fields at the Silver Mug soccer complex located near the University of Las Vegas football stadium.

“This year will be the first year the LA Misioneros FC participated in the annual tournament,” said club president Gerardo Camacho. “The team performed extremely well and showed that the professionalism of a well maintained club”

With an outstanding performance, the LA Misioneros FC returned home on Monday with their heads up high, ready to train and improve what was learned at Sin City.

“Not only I see it, but our (head) coach also believes that this group of guys is the best Misioneros group by far to date” expressed Camacho.

With a tournament record of (5-1-0), the LA Misioneros FC scored an overwhelming 15 goals during the weekend, and allowed only 2 goals by San Nicolas during the loss in the Semi-Finals round of the tournament.

“The team played solid, everyone was working and doing their job. This is what we came here to do,” said assistant coach Erick Garcia. “ We have nothing to complain about, but two errors which caused us the Finals”

“The boys had a great run during the tournament” said new club partner Luis Estrada.
