Week 13 of the L.A Premier Soccer League will be a determining week for many clubs. The LA Misioneros FC Reserves are no exception when they face off against Futmex, who holds one of the lowest ranks of the competition to date. These two teams will meet on Sunday February 10th at 8:30pm on the Carver Middle School soccer field.
"Now that we are near the end of the season, most teams will infact be ready to put up a good fight, and not give up any games" says assistant coach Erick Garcia.
With a tie in week 12 against Club Jamay, the LA Misioneros FC fell to a 2nd place rank, just below San Nicolas who will face a tough opponent this Saturday, when they take the field against a tactical Santa Monica Sporting.
A loss to Santa Monica and a Misioneros win, would place our boys in blue back on top rank with a POINT difference .
"We have been implementing tactical and conditioning skills in our players for the past couple of months, before the league began. Now is the time to take the field and make the game ours" exclaimed head coach Ever Morataya.
This weekend will be decisive for many teams who are in the fight to enter the playoffs which are set to kickoff the weekend of March 2-3.
Just under two weeks left for the 35th Annual Silver Mug International Adult Soccer Tournament to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
"These past few games have served as scrimmage games in preparation for Vegas" says Morataya. "I feel confident enough to say that we have gathered enough talent to make an impact and bring home the Silver Mug this year"
The LA Misioneros FC will announce their 22 man roster for the 35th Annual Silver Mug Tournament by the end of next week.
